National Science Centre – basic research
The National Science Centre (NCN) is an agency that assists scientists in conducting basic research – theoretical or empirical. The aim of scientific endeavours should be to acquire new knowledge of phenomena and facts without commercial application. During the first 10 years of its operation, NCN awarded 25,000 grants worth PLN 12 billion.
By submitting an application in competitions held by the National Centre of Science in national and international competitions, one can apply for the purchase or manufacturing of scientific and research equipment necessary for the implementation of projects, international cooperation, doctoral scholarships and internships, as well as development opportunities for very experienced scientists and young and new research teams
